BHOPAL: An affidavit on Rs 10 non-judicial stamp of being member of minority community instead of caste certificate will be accepted from the applicants of the minority community for self-employment scheme and scholarships. The Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Department has issued orders to this effect on Friday.
Presently, Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists and Parsis have been notified as minority communities under the Union Government’s National Minorities Commission.

In its compliance, Madhya Pradesh Government has also declared Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists and Parsis have been notified as minority communities. Jain community has not been included among minorities by the Union Government, an official spokesperson said.
